| The Kruger National Park is the largest and most famous game reserve in South Africa, roughly equivalent in size to the whole of Wales. As an archaeological site, it is the richest site in the world for early hominids, and the area has become known as the Cradle of Humankind. You can descend deep into the complex set of limestone caves, to the edge of the underground lake, learn more about the importance of the site as an archaeological landmark. Visit Maropeng, the fantastic new visitors center opened in December 2005 by President Thabo Mbeki. |
